Children are not only our future, but also one of the most vulnerable groups in society. The number of children living in an unfavorable social environment in Lithuania is estimated at tens of thousands. The emotional and physical violence typically experienced at home forces children to spend more time anywhere outside the home. In the summer, it is simply an open environment, but in the cold period there is a lack of suitable shelter for children. For this reason, the “Naujoji Arka” Public Institution, which is engaged in Christian education, has rented premises to be visited regularly by children from socially disadvantaged families in Troškūnai town and surrounding settlements.
“Supporting good initiatives is our social responsibility, which we always do with dedication.” Says Deividas Jacka, CEO of the Civinity Group.
Representatives of Civinity advised on the arrangement and preparation of the abandoned premises, financed the construction materials and tools, and participated in the repair work together with volunteers Irmantas, Simonas, Aurimas (Naujoji Arka VŠĮ), Gitana with his son Tomas (Agapė Bonum VŠĮ) and Dominykas (Tutolabs Kids).
“It simply came to our notice then. Civinity is not just about caring for cities, it is about caring for people’s lives, says” Gitana Michnevičienė, Director of Agape Bonum.
Today, the latest work is being done on a 110-square-meters facility. And thanks to these initiatives, the new premises will be a good refuge for children and their educators. We invite those who want to contribute to the initiative and support the Naujoji Arka: https://www.naujojiarka.lt/banko-rekvizitai.
